Workgroup PDM Solution
The PDMWorks Advanced Server provides web-based viewing into
the PDMWorks vault and an API that enables automatic communication
of PDMWorks information to people or business systems using
standard programming languages such as Perl, Visual Basic®,
and Visual C++®.
The Advanced Server offers all the browse, search and report
functionality of a PDMWorks Client in a web based environment
that can allow access from anywhere with an internet/intranet
connection.
Advanced Server Features
The PDMWorks Advanced Server provides the
following enhanced vault features:
Web-based view and print access to the
documents in the PDMWorks Vault.
API access to documents and attributes. (One example
might be to gather a list of all documents related to
a specific project into a spreadsheet or other report
file.)
Event Triggers' which allow actions to occur on specified
events. (One example might be to automatically generate
a PDF file whenever a documents lifecycle status reaches
the ?release' state.)
